What is it about some Black Bloggers out here, even though some of us are of different ideologies, what's with the blatant disrespect for anothers opinion?
Why does it seem some of us have not learned that no matter what your postion is in this american society, that you still carry a responsibility to respect yourself and others.
When has it become so fashionably to slam other black people, who may be ignorant of situations?
Have we forgotten our history, because we now may have a house with a white picket fence in the burbs?
Have we forgotten that just a few short decades ago the men and women who died so your black behind could live comfortable in those burbs?
Just where has empathy gone out of our lives?

Hello Big Mac,
I have empathy for people dealing with disrespect and people acting from a place of pain.
I respect honesty, curiosity, taking a stand, vision and love. Thank you for your post.
I completely agree with your stance, my brotha. If we were children on a playground, then you're bound to have beefs. But when you're an adult, you learn to sometimes agree to disagree (& not get personal or insulting) especially on hot-button where people will invariably have different mindsets and opinions. It's best to maintain your personal grace and allow others to do... and to be who they are.
That's one of the reasons I usually stick to poetry and my own life issues when I write a blog.
If someone doesn't like it, cool. No sweat. Writing, whether good or bad, is all subjective.
One.

Moanerplicity:That's what great about this blog thing we have so many resources among us,some like your self ,write beautiful poetry, other such as myself and others speak on issues, most are afraid or won't touch or address.
Thanks for gracing the pages of the "forest".
Hey BigMac! It seems that the entire community of America has been led away from integrity, respect, and even self respect by the Pied Pipers of CNN, MSNBC, FOX, Reality TV, The Man Show, The Housewives and the rest of these shows that teach us how to act like stark raving fools, heartless creeps, arrogant asses, and lecherous old men and women.
And we black folks are being indoctrinated into this madness along with the rest of America.
For some it comes out in their blogs!! And none of us--white and black no much of anything about our recent history. MLK is just a day or name of a street in your town.
