Negro Please!

I have always like Congresswoman Maxine Waters of California, but for the past few days I have chuckled at the fact shes been caught with her hand in the Federal cookie jar.
Congresswoman Waters represents areas such as Watts and Compton and for her to have steered Federal money into the bank her husband sits on the board of directors is well, ashame.
I enjoyed the image of the tiredless advocate for the poor she projected, but no more,Maxine has been exposed and now she is crying foul.
Sorry Congresswoman, but you and Congressman Rangel of New York need to go!

Hey BigMac! Are you sure that a "Shirley Sherrod" hasn't been done on Sister Maxine so as to have us black folks abandon her?

I'm sure that her record of advocating for her district along with gender and race played a role in ethic charges being brought against her.
But she's not pure and clean on these charges,as much as we wish she was.
Our politicans have the same problem as others who have been in Washington too long, that they are above the rules and regulations.

The timing is rather ironic, isn't it?

I too have admired them both over the years. So these developments are troubling.

I'm not sure if this is a case of the arrogance, & highlights the hubris that rans rampant thru the acts & the dealings of our politicians and gatekeepers until it becomes almost like a pathology... or whether other forces are involved in their possible undoing. It definitely casts a very suspicious light, at a crucial time, doesn't it?

And now even Aretha (who apparently fell in her tub and broke some ribs) won't be singing at Rangel's event. If one tried, one could add that misadventure into the mix of those who have been suddenly separating themselves from the man. Interesting.

One.

Yeah but if they announce that another Black politician is under investigation then we will all know somethings up.

Moanp:Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees, most politicans feed off of that fact, hoping you won't see pass the trees.

Val:If our black politicans were truley about doing the peoples work, the problems of unethical behavior wouldn't come up.
But once most of them get to Washington, they get stupid drunk on power and money and therein lay the problem.
