Who's really keeping it real?

Al Sharpton and Tavis Smiley must think everyone in Black America is stupid, they both claim to be advocating for the betterment of our community.
They had a public brawl this week that to this day I don't know or understand what it was all about.
Instead of them being out in the community doing some dirty work, there they both were on national media tearing each other down like two clowns.
Tavis I thought better of you,I kind of expected that type of behavior from Al Sharpton.

I agree BigMac. When this happened initially I wondered aloud if Al wasn't grousing because he was no longer relevant...and I took some blog comment heat for that one.

I think that perhaps Tavis is having similar issues.......with him not being so relevant as well.

Neither one of them exercised a great deal of common sense, Tavis probably far less than Al; but I've never really been impressed with Al anyway.

I have a problem with many of the people out here who have been appointed as blackleaders,I think most like most pastors in the black church are pimping the community. So I take belief what Al Sharpton say with a grain of salt.I use to give Tavis a little more credit but he has been annoited by the white liberal left as a ok black person,he's no better then Sharpton.

I missed the entire drama. I had, or better yet, have no interest in what either of them have to say basically for the reasons you and Reggie spoke of.
Jesse Jackson is on the same list with them, in my book. My book of people to ignore.
