Follow The Money

Yea folks thats what we have to do if we want to know how any group or organization is funded.
We having been hearing from these groups calling themselves the teabaggers now for over a year, they claim to be every day people who are sick of the government in their lives.
They claim to be just Joe and Jane Lunchbucket,if thats the case, my question is just how in gods name are these people paying for the hotels and other expenses they inccur while protesting in washington on a  tuesday afternoon?
Look take it from someone who's lived and worked in the Metro DC area it's not a cheap place to live, play or work.
That question should be running thru everyones head?

I think most of the tea baggers are pretty well off retired people. So, no they don't represent average folk at all. They want everyone to believe otherwise but like you say they seem pretty flush with cash.

Tea Partiers have JOBS. They PAY TAXES. Thus, they can afford to travel and protest on their own dime. They don't need government-funded community instigator groups to drive the bus outside the party store, pick everybody up, and compensate them for standing around holding signs and chanting all day.

It's about as genuine and grass-roots as you can get.

I hear you Big Mac, anytime someone claims to be average, I always wonder "why?" Seems like they have plenty of the resources: time and money. I am watching them. . . . . .

More than likely, I believe, it's either government officials backing them(GOP & others)or they have their community backing them. I see a couple comments with the usual response from this blog. I think it's deeper than just "portraying to be average", but into why certain groups with specific platforms seem to be easily finacially backed........to be cont.

Big Mac,

I felt like shit for a week for the insanity I brought UBM...I paid my respects but still feeling a little guilty...

I will miss the banter nevertheless..

Thrasher:Upon hearing of UBM death I ceased having any ill will towards his response to my opinion, and just wished peace for his family and friends.
I try not to take others opinion personal, but I still have not gotten there yet!
